Wonderful Miscellany - June 2007

First Annual Rainbow Family Picnic a success

The First Annual Rainbow Family Picnic was reportedly a success. There were at least 24 children from ages of 3 months old to 16 years of age.

"Probably the neatest thing is when a little 5 yr old came up to me and said,' I have 2 mommies.' and I said back to her, 'well, so does my daughter,'" says a pleased Beau Sneed, the event organizer. "We plan to have another picnic, maybe plan things monthly and are considering applying to be a chapter for Knoxville with Rainbow Families the national organization."
